I borrow the name of one of Kerouac's most wonderful and erratic novels to define a group of interviews with people who, not only look at the world through their eyes, they do so do so through a lens. Whether it is transmitted by sensitive emulsion or by the refraction of lumens on a screen. Old digital formats and new printed formats. What does it matter if the photo is good?

During the hardest part of confinement, one of the few ways to look at the outside world and find out about your friends/family was through social media. There were a couple of people who communicated in a simple and direct way, their mood and their daily life through their photographs. I was absorbed seeing how a simple photo transmitted more than a television broadcast. Photographs have the ability to retain the moment and convey a feeling. Not everyone has the ability to make time stop when you see their photo. Whoever succeeds doing so should truly feel satisfied. I have a friend who can spend 30 minutes looking at a single photograph. Sometimes the same happens to me. 

This is a series of interviews in which I’ve wanted to bring together people who, in my opinion, have something to say through their images. Regardless of their purpose, photography defines them and they use it in the same way that a madman draws a yelp from the depths of his throat.

Tomo prestado el nombre de una de las novelas más maravillosas y erráticas de Kerouac para definir un grupo de entrevistas a personas que, aparte de mirar con los ojos, lo hacen a través de una lente. Ya se transmita por emulsión sensible o por refracción de lumens en un pantalla. Antiguos formatos digitales y nuevos formatos impresos. Qué más da si la foto es buena.

Cuando en lo peor del confinamiento, una de las pocas maneras de mirar al mundo exterior y saber de tus amigos/familia era a través de las redes sociales. Hubieron un par de personas que comunicaban de una forma simple y directa, su estado de ánimo y su cotidianidad a través de sus fotografías. Me quedé absorto al ver como una simple foto transmitía más que una emisión de televisión. Las fotografías tienen esa capacidad de retener el momento y transmitir una sensación. No todo el mundo consigue que el tiempo se pare cuando ves una foto. Quien lo consigue ya puede darse por satisfecho. Tengo un amigo que se puede tirar 30 minutos de reloj con una sola fotografía. A mi, a veces, me ocurre lo mismo.

Esta es una serie de entrevistas que he querido reunir a personas que, a mi parecer, tienen algo que decir a través de sus imágenes. Independientemente de su fin, la fotografía les define y la utilizan del mismo modo que un loco saca un gañido desde lo más hondo de su garganta.
